VISION STATEMENT OF OUR LADY’S PARISH FLEET

 

To be a place of worship and friendship.  To be part of the Christian Church in Fleet and to give witness to Christ and to the teachings of Christ and the Apostles through prayer, study and action.  To be recognised as a significant part of the local churches and of the community as a whole.  To help build a Christian community based on God’s values of love, justice and peace.

 

GIVING THANKS FOR:

 

The gift of faith and the community of the church both in the Catholic Church and in other Christian Denominations.  Having a friendly and vibrant Parish with so many of the Parish family actively working in different fields of Parish life.  In particular, for the grace of being able to give to and to receive from other churches and thus to increase the Christian Witness in Fleet, for example; through such joint enterprises as Living Stones, Christian Aid, Communicare.  Also for the strong children’s liturgy and for the singing & music at Mass.

 

PRAY FOR:

 

The greater proclamation of the Christian Gospel and Christian values within our own Church community and within the wider Church and secular communities.  The sick and dying in our own community and in other churches and for the just needs of all the peoples in the world.  To be part of the Prayer Wall operated by Churches Together.

 

KEY PEOPLE:

 

All members of the Parish family but in particular, the Catechists, The Clergy, the lay leaders within the Parish Pastoral Council, the Liturgy leaders and Eucharistic Ministers.  Also, in another sense, the children, for they are our future.
